So 2nd time car went into limp mode then, refused to restart the ice. Clean MAF sensor, car burns oils, so I check it daily. never let the car go below 3 bars of gas. 290xxx miles.

This last time it did it to me, I put on a jump starter battery pack on the 12v battery and the car fired right back up.

What is weird is I put a volt meter on the battery and it reads 12.6, I go into service check page (flipping the light switch on and off) it reads 11.6.

    any help would be great.

btw the 12v is a yellowtop, that is about a year old, and the main battery pack was replaced with one of the newpriusbatterys cylinder battery packs. It was running great until I ran into this.

if the jump start worked, there has to be something wrong with the battery?

But the battery is reading 12.6 with nothing on and it reads 14.1 when idling. So maybe the battery cables? It's receiving a charge when driving.

i would take it to an auto parts store for a free load test. worth checking the cables for cleanliness and tightness, especially neg to ground point.

check the voltage at the front jump point with the car off

checked all cables for tightness. Didn't check the front jump points. Good idea.

On a full tank. Clean mass air sensor the first time it stranded me.
