Hey everyone, I recently had bought a used 2010 Prius pkg. III with navigation. Upon getting the car, I noticed I very much disliked the stock 15" wheels as IMO they're the worst looking Prius rim. Oh well, to each their own. I was looking around locally for another set of 5x100 wheels that would work with this vehicle, and I found a set of 17x7 VW Long Beach wheels with 38mm offset from a mk4 jetta I was interested in. I could not find ANYTHING online regarding anyone putting these wheels on a Prius. Except for a forum talking about the stock VW Jetta 15x6 wheels. I ended up getting the VW wheels and installing them on the Prius and they look GREAT!! Only thing is the center bore is 3mm bigger on the VW wheel, so you'll have to either get hubcentric rings like I did or torque the hell out of the lugs. If you start to feel a vibration, loosen and re tighten lugs. Just wanted to put word out there that this is a thing. And this thing works. Am I the 1st to run these wheels on a Gen III Prius? What do you guys think?
Your exchange may be unique, but others in here have gotten cool looking rims and had to go the hubcentric route as well. Looks like you found a good deal!
