    wow really ?

That's really really bad, all out for this goes up-to 4 grand (if fixing from dealer, there might be alternatives)

The v uses a different master cylinder and pump than the hatchback. Harder to find used parts for the v. Many parts different... wheel bearings, shocks, ECU, transmission and more.....

Were these battery voltages obtained with the hybrid system in the "READY" (on) state or just "ignition" on? You should be getting 13.7-14.4V with the car ON, as most cars. The voltages given are low if the car is on, and high if the car is off. So I suspect these readings were taken with the car ON, which means that battery is kaput. I'd also make sure it's even the correct battery. You don't know.

ALSO don't rule out someone traded in a bad car, reset codes and all, to an unspecting dealer, that dealer then drive it around the parking lot to make sure it "runs" for a trade in, then slap a for sale sign on it.

What's funny is as far as I know it's the same transmission, with the addition of water jacket no. 3 cover over the extra set of coolant passages (highlighted here in purple); in the liftback there is no cover there and those passages are just open to air and unused for coolant.

But I haven't checked whether there are other internal part number differences. I guess it wouldn't shock me if they used a different final drive ratio.

I've been sort of waiting for somebody who does trailer towing with a liftback to post about buying the no. 3 cover and some extra hose and clamps to get the v cooling capacity.

Thank you very much for your help people
I just got the cable today , took them FOREVER to ship it , I bought from a person that was showing up as shipping from the US , but unfortunately he was Chinese and not here so he basically works with a "winit" warehouse and it took them forever to pack it and drop it to the UPS
Anyways just tried to download the software online 14.30.023 since I do not have any optical unit on my laptops to read the CD

I am getting an error :
    Unable to connect to VIM

Is there a special order to connect the cable to the car ? I tried both with the car off and then on

The best write ups I have seen for setting up a laptop and connecting the cable to a Toyota are in one of the Tacoma forums. I don't have a link, but google is your friend.

Thank you Peter , but I just got a virus from there , and computer started to act very strange (just had a new windows this morning) so had to reinstall windows for a 2nd time today
The seller gave me this now

    MEGA

But it's only a .flv file (video clip like) that I managed to open with VLC .
I need the actual driver and actual software .
I could buy a portable cd/dvd external optical unit but that seems a very bad investment since I'll probably never use it , also takes space.
I was hoping some of your mini vci drivers work with mine since there are so many people here using them from what you guys told me.

That's the normal with losedoz, viruses....
I let them log into my losedoz machine and they spent 2 hours setting it up.
They where not having fun! I was watching everything he was doing. What a royal pain!!!!
I used to do that crap! Mac's are SOOO much easier!
I wanted a Mac version, but they don't have it.

If you know someone that has a cd maybe you can copy the files to a usb drive?

That was what i initially thought to do ASRDogman, thank you for all your helpful replies , just pretty far away from friends and lockdowns and rules now...
    OfficeMax employees rule
I finally managed to transfer to my flashdrive and this is the result.
Many thanks to everyone trying to help out
This is the result of Health check (if that is what I was supposed to use)

    I get a P3000 hybrid control
    And a C1391 for ABS/VSC/TRAC

That seems to be Brake booster with master cylinder replacement needed due leakage isn't it ?

Do you hear the pump running all of the time? Maybe every 15 seconds or less.
If you need replacement parts they have to be from a v not the hatchback.

Hmm I dont really know what's the sound of the pump
The only 3 sounds I can tell are
    Engine
Electric motor (on EV mode or hybrid)
    Ac noise
The brake pedal feels weird , airy, not stiff like it was before (sometimes the brake starts working properly again and the lights BRAKE, ABS , TRACTION disappear , but just for a few minutes)

Why do I need replacement parts from a different car model?
Would the dealership install Prius V parts on hatchback?

The pump runs when you open the drivers door. Especially in the morning.

If you get used. The parts installed at the dealer will be over $2000

But the car qualifies for free parts and labor isn't it ? For this extended warranty offered by toyota for all actuators assembly, I just spoke with Toyota USA and they said it the local dealership diagnoses the actuator assembly as the cause everything will be free.
    How can I tell ?

Is your car a v? The v is not covered.
Unless something has changed very recently.
Have you ran your Vin # through toyota?
    The inverter is covered

Not a V , it's a regular Prius 3, I spoke with Toyota USA and gave them the VIN and they said the actuator assembly is covered, including the diagnosing test and labor.
They said they cannot provide diagnosing details over the phone , only dealerships do in person
But it the problem is not the actuator I will have to pay 200$ for diagnosing , so that is why i was trying to figure out if it's the actuator or not.
    Thank you .
