I'm thinking that those are stock photos since the article mentions that the BWP (Blemished White Paint) might be excised from the color wheel for 2021. The "20th Anniversary" edition, besides being targeted for people who are not very good with math, seems to be a badges and stickers only model, with maybe a special color option. The G2 and G3s ran for 6 years each....so it will be interesting to see if there's another nother anniversary in 2022 - 25 real-world years after the birth of the Prius. Or? If the G5 Prius will merge into the G11 Corolla as their hybrid. Time will tell......

Ugh...have to disagree. Black roofs radiate heat exactly where I DON'T want it: on the top of my head!!! I agree, it looks cool, but is the exact opposite. It's HOT!!! (hmm...aids snow/ice melt in the winter, though!)
Looks interesting...But I want to see the 'next gen' Prius at this point! Edit...and is it really a black roof?! If so, dumb...I was hoping it would be a pano sunroof!
Kind of hard to either applaud or disparage as it really doesn't exist yet. But if the Japanese version is a hint, sounds like a lot of superficial cosmetic tweaks.

All the smoked/blackout treatment makes it look like an unfinished, entry-level model to me. I'm totally unimpressed.
Adding ugly to ugly just doesn't work...and that's coming from a two time Prius and one time RAV4 HV owner. YMMV
I pulled the trigger on one this weekend. Decided was time to upgrade from my 2010 Trim V. It was hard to find many Prius' around for sale with the chip crunch. I searched a 300 mile radius of my hometown. Typical example of what I found. Memphis TN has 4 Toyota dealers no 2021's in stock. I was running into a few XLE AWD models in other cities, but I really didn't want an AWD. Then I ran into this one, not particularly looking for a 20th anniversary edition... but I liked the SuperSonic Red and blackout treatment on badges. Also has optional door edge guards in body color that turns into black accents towards rear doors, that along with the roof rack (I'm torn on leaving that on or taking off) that kinda set it apart from plain jane looking Prius. I gotta say that in the last 10 years (I've held onto my 2010 for as long as was comfortable) the Tech Package has really stepped up and is sweet. Edited to add my local Toyota dealer ended up swapping a 2021 Camry they had in stock to another Toyota dealer for it. Which made it easier than having to drive to go get it.
