I have a 2010 Prius the light came on check hybrid system. I went to auto zone they said the code came up I needed a new hybrid battery. Unfortunately I couldn’t afford to pay the guys on Offer up just trying to give me a used battery!! Driving one day it just turned off on the freeway!! Water was leaking out of the front idk if that’s a sign of something but I never seen the car leak before!! Honestly I’m not very computer or tech savvy took me an hour to figure out how to post here. Is there any honest affordable person in the victorville/ Southern California area that could help me figure out how to get back on the road
I’m a new father and I commute 200 miles a day to work in this car and it being down is literally costing me so much financially
    Please help

Autozone doesn’t sell hybrid batteries, not even used ones either

    Welcome to PriusChat!!
Don't stress fixing the HV battery until you sort out the leaking issue mentioned above. Put down a piece of cardboard and follow the leak up.

Was your AC when you noticed the water leak?
because most cars leak water from AC condensation.

As said, it could be something as simple as a leak. Perhaps your water pump is leaking. Also I wouldn't be trusting diagnosis/code pulling to autozone, especially not for something like a hybrid. I'd take it to a hybrid shop -- search yelp -- and see if they can diagnose it. It could be something trivial and cheap. Without knowing more info about your car, seeing where the leak is coming from, etc., it's nearly impossible to guess what it is from here.

Sorry to hear about the problems.
I'm afraid if it's a new Hybrid Battery you need, there is no really cheap answer.

New Father, 200 miles a day...
Shutting down on the freeway, and some type of leak?

    Well, that doesn't sound safe.
So I'm just going to advance the obvious. Whatever you do? You need SAFE transportation. Right now? Your Prius doesn't sound safe.
Gotta stay safe, for yourself and your new child.

Best in creating or finding a safe option.

2010 Prius here near you in Apple Valley. I would check out green bean battery company. For your car it would be $1,650 installed and they come to you with a lifetime warranty that is transferable one time if you sell your car. Warranty covers reinstallations also.
