Does anyone know what is going on with my 2005 Toyota Prius? It has 125,000 miles on it, bought use 5 years ago, and I have recently balance the hybrid battery. I have changed the ignition coil, spark plugs, fuel injectors, front & back exhaust gaskets. But this noise never stops: https://youtu.be/bw7xvpWgqzM
Thanks so much, I spent the whole Sunday trying to Upload, didn't work until you suggest. Thanks again!
Have you read the fault codes? Any misfire codes? Correct oil level in the engine? Does it consume oil? Has it been almost run out of oil?
A guess would be a broken piston skirt. How does the car run? Is there a lack of power? Does the noise go away at higher engine speeds? You could remove the lower oil pan to look for junks of metal. That would be less money and work than you have already spent trouble shooting the problem.
