Sorry if this has been addressed. No find. My wife was walking up the drive in the dark with no flashlight . The Prime was facing her and at about 40-50 feet it beeped once and the headlights flashed on and off.it was not plugged in and was fully charged. . I maintain that she's finally lost it but she strongly disagrees. ???.
If this is a one time isolated incident? I would treat it as an anomaly. I'm NOT saying it didn't happen. I am saying, you don't necessarily need to know how the crop circle appeared, or what those ghost lights on the horizon were...you can just move on. Be supportive and whatever you do, do NOT whistle or hum the Twilight Zone theme when your wife tells the story. Maybe in the short term, I'd double check that the vehicle is actually off and locked, when I was leaving it off and locked. But I would pretty much just go forth and wait to see if it ever happens again. If there is a real problem, it will manifest again, happen again. But for now? I wouldn't even really bother trying to pin down what happened.
Very wise. Thank you. It was not locked—never in our rural drive. Weirder things have happened in life and we'll be watching this tricky devil.
I just checked. Locking the doors via the fob buzzes/beeps and blinks the clearance lights not the headlamps. Does your prime have any add-on alarm etc. that might blink the headlamps?
Could it be that the fob was used to unlock the doors but no door was opened? If so, after about a minute the car will automatically lock itself with a beep and the parking lights will flash.
