In Washington State, now down to $1.45-1.55 in Cle Elum, and 1.89 in Thorp. And some more sub-$2 locations have appeared in Toppenish, Wapato, Kingston, Nooksak, and Lynden. The later two would normally be convenient for numerous Canadian visitors coming this way. If only we still had any Canadian visitors.
And how many km's? I've got 900 miles on the current tank and at 1/2 a tank. The Prime is fantastic. And now that remaining tank will probably last WEEKS longer.
Ahem: Belated April Fools, it's per liter. Still, for us, a significant milestone: gas has been typically $1.30~$1.40 CDN in recent months. All above prices CDN, currently around 0.7 of USD?
Oh...... oh, yeah..... ya meant it to be joke. Oh, yeah. Oh, that's....... very.... funny (in Star Trek's Data impersonation)......
BC, very definitely! Just don't look towards AB ... Wow, just checked up on that, the exchange rate is down almost 10% since we were last there. Everything is on sale! And great new ski powder reports too! Time to load up the skis and head back up for more! ... What was that, officer? .... no entry? ...
GasBuddy update: 33 states now have an average price of less than $2.00/gal, and 20,000 stations are under $1.50/gal Prices continue to move lower but at a slower pace than past weeks States with the lowest average price include: WI, OK, OH, KY and MI The march to $1/gal continues....
I wanted to fill up my summer yard maintenance trucks 32gallon tank but in my home town gas $1.69, while around here it’s under $1.10, crazy how much variation there is in gas prices. I ended up leaving the truck with a 1/3 tank, see if I can time the bottom if I get back there I rarely go through more than a tank a year but it’s still cheaper than a rental
Day before yesterday I filled up at Sam's Club in Bullhead City, AZ for $1.959 a gallon. My wife had medical appointments in California yesterday. In Rancho Cucamonga, CA the Arco was $2.599 and the Chevron was $3.059. Out in the middle of the Mohave Desert on I-40 I noticed the Chevron in Ludlow, CA was at $3.999 a gallon, the first time I've seen that one under $4.50 a gallon in many years.
Most stations out here went up five or ten cents overnight but Sam's Club actually went down a penny. EDIT: That's based on Gas Buddy. We're not actually leaving the house.
Now down to $1.25/gal at one place in Cle Elum, $1.29 in several other. Considering that $0.678 of that is state and federal fuel tax ... Super-low prices have expanded to Quincy, while sub-$2 prices are now in too many places to list. The highest reported price in this state is $3.89 in Renton, i.e. 3X+ the state's lowest price. A dozen reported stations are still $3.39 or higher, and many stations don't get regularly updated to GasBuddy.
Enjoy it while you can -- I am sure many of you saw the news today that the cartels are going to cut production to force prices up.
THAT's going to take a while. They've been shoving oil into every nook and cranny for 2 months now, and our economy hasn't finished winding DOWN yet..... There WILL be another price spike. Maybe back up above $2 (higher if you don't live on free soil.) Might be a good time to put a down payment on a PHEV.
