I'm going to replace the stock headunit, and want to keep the steering wheel controls. Does the Metra 70-8114 adaptor work for our cars? Anything else i should know about before i start taking the car apart and replace the headunit?
Wrong harness. You'll want the Metra AX-TOY28SWC instead. It looks nearly the same but has the updated 28-pin connector on the car end. The one you linked appears to be for the older big-body Prius. You should be aware that both the harness you listed and the one I have listed above are not complete solutions- they are intended to be used in conjunction with the Axxess ASWC-1 translator box, sold separately.
