Just put non ethanol in for $2.62 The ethanol was $1.99. I know it probably isn't cost efficient but my cars seems to get better mileage and run better on it. No more than I run on gas it really doesn't make much difference.
Yup, it's not worth the tiny efficiency difference or much higher cost when owners get anywhere between 1,000 and 2,500 miles per tank.
Heck, it's not worth for any gain in efficiency when I am not driving at all! Shelter-in-Place order in action.
Normally I run "real" non ethanol gasoline most of the time, usually I choose the premium grade. Then when I plan any kind of long road trip, I'll go to Costco and fill up with E10 and run that until I get back home. Both actually have their benefits. Rob43
I keep non-ethanol gas in a container in my garage because it has a much longer shelf-life. I use it in a generator, lawn mower, etc.
I store my car in the summer in Florida when I go back North and now is the time when I start running the non ethanol. I to make sure the ethanol is completely out of the system and leave it with a full tank on no ethanol. I also now put a a battery maintainer on the 12 volt and put a couple of extra lbs of air in the tires.
