I was a dealer for 25 years, drove many cars but this one is just down right special. Would anyone in our group be interested in the exterior chrome emblems having the same tint as the body. If you have seen the black chrome Toyota offers on some of it's other cars you would have the idea. But instead of black they would be body colored.
I yanked all the emblems the day I got the car. Only the two primary Toyota logos have alignment pins - the rest are just stuck on with thermoplastic adhesive and come off with the help of a heat gun (be careful!). I filled those holes and touched up the paint, then in the rear installed a Ferrari logo. Really. It's now a Toyari, or a Ferrota. You'd be astonished at how many people believe that emblem! I also have emblems by Benz, Tag Heuer, Yugo, and Mustang... and plenty of the sticky stuff (from a motor home shop). Fun.

Gold emblems on my previous car, a red Camry, looked great. My new car is a silver Prius. Two questions: 1. Has anyone seen gold emblems on a silver car, or am I better off sticking with the chrome ones? 2. My dealer does not even sell gold emblems for the Prius, but told me that a couple of dealers (Toyota of Huntington Beach, CA being one of them) have a machine that they can change chrome emblems to gold without even removing them from the car. i have gold on a silver #9 w/leather. you can see my photos in the gallery and my icon to the left here shows it, as well. my dealer had it done prior to me picking it up, but it's not too complex or expensive. -r
there used to be a post here on PC about different coloured script. It would have been in late January or early Feburary. Not sure if it's still there. If you want to search go ahead. I've read all the post back then and don't need to again now.
