    Yes your probably gonna find them full of crud. Injectors can be found pretty cheap

    whatelse can i get to while engine open which is maintenance item and good idea to replace or service?

    I take the smallest brush chucked into a drill and drive it down the channels pulling out once in a while to clear out the carbon. Then a soak with superclean.

    since i will have half engine taken apart to replace head gasket, is it good idea to drop engine oil and run some oil from top to flush it? or is there any solution i can safely use to clean out all gunk buildup from 231k miles on engine?

    I don't think you need to "flush" the old oil out. Have you looked at other threads where members have done the head gasket job? There's probably good tips in those. Some I know were from fairly recent.

    i saw one more thread but i have not found anyone doing cleaning of oil and replacing all dirty sludge buildup due to coolant contamination. also i havent found any torque specs anywhere mentioned in head gasket job and im sure tightening to the torque spec is very crucial specially in engine

    Depending on how much contamination that you have from a blown head gasket will determine how much flushing is necessary. IOW, if complete failure and all oil in crankcase looks like a Starbucks latte then multiple flushes will be necessary. If you have a few drops of oil in radiator then primarily a coolant flush will be necessary. In between then use your best judgment.

    You could just leave the drain plug out with a pan under it and let it drain over night.
    That should be enough.

    What I did on my 1990 Probe was put the cheapest oil in it and the cheapest oil filter on it and
    drove it for about 10 miles then replaced the oil and filter, while it was hot.
    And put in good oil and a good filter. That should be enough.
    The oil obviously was clean, just a little cloudy. It had a trace of water in it.

    You shouldn't really "need" to do that, but since you are doing so much work on it, why not be
    safe, than sorry. You can get that cheap walfart supertech crap. Good enough for 10-15 miles to
    get the engine HOT. Just make sure the engine is running for those miles...

    I watched their couple of videos but i think i watched it, didnt listen it lol i missed the torque spec part

    Now important question anyone can answer this. Should i strictly go with toyota oem headgasket again or should i go aftermarket route? If aftermarket, which brand? Also should i just replace headgasket part and use same gaskets everywhere else or which other gaskets are crucial for this work and needs to be replaced as well?

    Many only use Toyota and replace everything, on the other end of the spectrum we have those GM guys who only use Fel-Pro and only replace the head gasket, reusing everything else. It may be prudent to replace/inspect the water pump/thermostat at the same time.

    When I did my intake manifold and EGR system cleaning, I got all the parts from Toyota.
    I could find them for less cost, or so close it wasn't worth it.
    NOT every part, but gaskets and such I do. I get the coolant from them.
    And those prices were before the a 10% veterans discount they gave me.

    I "think" they only thing I could have gotten for about 35% less was the intake manifold gasket.
    But it just wasn't worth the hassle to go somewhere else.

    In the most recent Gasket Masters video they mention replacing timing chain tensioner gasket, and maybe one or two others.

    FWIW, when doing EGR and intake manifold, I didn't replace anything. Very low miles though.

    Oh wow that tsb calls for removing pistons which i dnt think i will do, im only planning for head gasket change, do i need to do that tsb as mentioned to remove all those components? Or that is just if engine is damaged and consuming too much oil? I have slight oil consumption in my engine but i think it worsened with head gasket failure, if this is part of the fix for head gasket failure and oil consumption i may look into doing all that work otherwise i just wanna tackle head gasket issue and get it back to running again where it dont knock and dnt consume coolant.
