Does anyone around here have any experience with having/using an OBDII (bluetooth) scanner on their 3rd Gen Prius? I have been looking at these two specific models and would like to know if anyone around here has/uses one of these and how they like it? If anyone happens to have experience with both, which one do you like better? Blue Driver - Amazon OBDLink MX - Amazon If I am unable to find any "personal" insight on these I may just order both!
I've used the LX version since 2014 on my 3rd Feb and it has never failed me. Worked flawlessly. He's a link to it MI CC 9e ?
I have the Blue Driver. It shows codes that other devices can't read, and it has a database of all the different repairs that mechanics say they have used for each specific code. With any reader, be sure to have the car tuned OFF before plugging or unplugging it.
I have MX since a week or so. Big improvement over my former Vgate. First two things that caught my eyes were reading auxiliary battery voltage with engine off (from 11.3V with Vgate to 12.6V with MX) and reading/polling speed of sensors (4 times faster than Vgate). Also all the animation in Hybrid Assistant is more fluid now (it's like I went from a 5 FPS game to 30 FPS).
