Hello, I was wondering if anyone could recommend a mechanic in Los Angeles. I'm currently in Hollywood but a little distance is fine. My 2005 Prius check engine light and red triangle light came on yesterday. I'll will be taking it to the dealership tomorrow but I would also like to have a mechanic for a second opinion/more economic option. Thank you
I think there are some good ones out your way but if all else fails try Jue Motors in Covina (the east San Gabriel Valley). The business is AAA approved, pretty much specializes in hybrids and Jimmy Jue has owned multiple Gen II Prii over the years. He knows our cars inside and out and I've found him to be very trustworthy. He's not as inexpensive as some mechanics but he won't steer you wrong. I originally found him through Jeff at Hybrid Automotive (the Prolong hybrid maintenance system people).
