Yes. The Toyota dealer can do it for u.

I also think it can be done with a ScangaugeII......but don't quote me on that

Yea, you can do it with scangauge 2, and other ODB scanners that have the ability. The code is listed in the master table for the Gen3 xgauge code list. Different scanners will have different directions and codes though.

Your first post (and your user info to the left) did not list a location. The advice you got was true somewhere in the world. Hopefully you will get some UK advice as well (I would have used UK in the title somewhere to attract help)

I used a scangauge II to reset some 'dealer only' settings on my Prius. It seems higher priced over there.

thats cool but i really want to know if its going to work 100% as i dont want to invest into scangauges and other types of scanners if its not going to work ? have you disabled the seat belt beeper yourself?

First my apologies, my computer did not show me posting so I posted multiple times.

I used my scangauge to turn the internal (infernal?) beeping in reverse to a single beep. I never do not use the seatbelts so I never needed to use that code.

Ha I found the spread sheet of the gauges you can program in.
Disable Seat belt is listed some ways down (line 102)

    Welcome to Google Docs

Here is a fairly detailed post on how to turn off the reverse beep, you would use the Disable seatbelt codes but follow these instructions.

Dealer will do it, it's a load of balls, just say Toyota world Tamworth did it for my friend, say you carry a lot of goods on the seats, eg, pizza delivery bags

go to walmart web site, buy short seat belt extenders. <$15 for 2. leave them plugged into the seat belt buckle.

warning, the air bag system will think someone's sitting the seat and deploy accordingly.

    Or listen to the racket.

Now to disable all the other beeps

Why not... grab seat belt clips from cars at the junkyard and put them in?
