Took my Advanced in for its first 5000 mile service today. The ICS has gone off twice, so I'm glad Toyota will fix this. Notices going out at the end of November.
Interesting! I used the Carista app to disable ICS while in Neutral for this exact reason. Otherwise it beeps like crazy in car washes. I wonder if it's actually a software update or they just change that same setting with Techstream.
It's a hassle but I guess you could technically turn off ICS every time you go. But that also relies on remembering to do so which... is not good software programming.
Had the same for my advanced 2017 Prime, went for the 5K services and they said the recall is also required. So they did both yesterday: Intelligent Clearance Sonar (ICS) Reprogram J0R N/A Programming Only Yes Collision
During my 45K service they notified me of the fix and tried to apply it. Unfortunately the technician could not get the fix applied so I have to go back. Not sure why they could not have called a tech support line to figure out their problem. Not the best customer experience. I see that I am to get the reprogramming notice in the mail today.
I just got a call on this. It took them long enough to get to me. I just shut off the ICS when I go into a car wash to shut up the alarms.
