Looks like FILO. They're probably going through the pile of applications.

    :(

I had mailed my application on January 2, and they cashed my check on January 22. I'll probably receive the stickers this week.

I put the stickers on today. They look so tacky, but it’s better than waiting in traffic. :ROFLMAO:

Received my Orange CAV Decals this past Thursday!

I didn’t want to apply on a dirty car so I waited until this morning to give the Prime a wash and apply them. Let’s do it! (y)

Received the two large and two small orange stickers on Tuesday, February 11, 2020

They are good through January 1, 2024. They come with a certificate to be kept in the car, placement instructions, and a new vehicle registration card.

Using paint-protection film between the sticker and car seems to be a must.

Yep. I went this route. Bought the EV Wraps 3M Pre-Cut PPF from Amazon. The pre-cut ones are larger than the actual CAV decals (on purpose), but I ended up using scissors to trim them to be exact size after applying the decals to the PPF. Then I used a spray water bottle to apply the PPF to the car. I did this two weeks ago and no peeling has occurred, granted I have not washed the car.

Don't get too excited, half the time the HOV lane moves the same speed as the other lanes and of course there are cheaters in the HOV lane because the highway patrol hardly ever cites them.
Still there times when it does help. They are constructing new HOV lanes here but won't be done until 2020 and I will be retired by then.

Yes I would do that. Couldn't get the old stickers off, so just put the new ones on top.

For me HOV lanes don't really help, as it's not worth merging three lanes to the left and then back to the right unless the traffic is really bad, and it usually isn't when I'm on the road. Moreover, on the 110 freeway where I need them most, it's FastTrak, and the stickers are no good. However, I will put them on with the paint-protection film anyway, just in case I'm stuck in traffic one day and there is an HOV lane for the rescue.

By the way FasTrak is probably unconstitutional and illegal, as it discriminates against people, but the legislators get away with it because they want to use it themselves. It also contributes to traffic congestion greatly because you have these two lanes nobody uses that are wasted. Hopefully it will be banned eventually.

Why won't it work with Fastrak pay roads:whistle:?

Up here either it is free or discounted;).

Roads are free (like 680) and bridges are 1/2 price (like the Benicia Bridge):).

    That's at least my experience(y).

The real question is, when are they going to run out of colors for these carpool stickers?

I think that the Clean Air Decal program expires completely around 2025, so the color question becomes moot

Yep, from a previous post of mine in this thread:

Black, brown, blue, and gray (or silver) are the only available colors for the last two remaining stickers of the program (2021 and 2022) before it expires for good. However, let's not rule out pink. :) They will probably go with blue and gray, not necessarily in that order.

License plates take a long time to arrive. Mine took close to two months. They come through a sort of a snail mail, which takes weeks.
