What do I need for servicing?

    My Prius has 137,000 miles on the clock.
    I got with 130,000 miles.

    It was last serviced 1 year ago by the previous owner at a local garage.

    What do I need to do for servicing?
    I couldn't find a good guide on Youtube - I assumed there be many.
    A link to a recommended one would be great.

    EDIT: I see servicing kits on ebay. Good idea to buy? What should I buy? Different ones comes with different filters and oil.

    At 137k I would do the following maintenance if I was planning to keep the car for at least 3 years. Except if you have service records on some of these done recently.
    Brake fluid $15
    Coolant $30
    Inventer coolant $15
    Transmission WS fluid $50
    Air filter $15
    Cabin filter $15
    Belt $15
    Spark plugs $25
    Test 12v battery $0
    Check front brake pads $0-$40
    Clean throttle body $10
    Clean HV battery fan $0
    Oil and filter $30

    log into toyotaowners.com and enter the VIN for past service info.

    you will also find a maintenance schedule there, if you didn't get one with the car.

    don't know anything about kits, but they sound like a bad idea

    Guys, since my post... I haven't yet serviced yet. :eek::eek:
    Just been busy.

    From the list @Aegean gave...
    What is 'Belt'?

    @bisco - the car would have been privately serviced for the last few services, so I doubt there would be anything worth looking up.

    I did a second gen maintenance schedule extrapolation, just taking the given patterns, extending them out, to 260K miles.

    @Mendel Leisk That's really helpful.
    Given that I can't rely on what the past servicing has been, I guess it would be wiser to do everything possible!?
    I'm scratching my head now. Not sure what to do.

    What parts would you recommend getting for the service?
    Your docs suggest only: oil, oil filter and spark plugs?

    @Aegean 's list is pretty complete. I would start with just an oil and filter change. Then a transaxle fluid change, since it could well be the original fluid in there. Second gen doesn't have a brake fluid change without Techstream documented: maybe talk to dealership about that, they could do for around around $100? Brake inspection should be done too. Visually look them over for starters. Depending on your comfort level, DIY or dealership. Inspect the engine and cabin air filters.

    I'm just scratching the surface. Take them one or two at a time, see how it goes.
