Does anybody know if fog lights can be added to the Prius Prime Premium? I know the advanced model comes with them but there weren't any for sale in Minnesota when I bought my Premium.
Really useless lights. They do a very small bit of good to light up the sides of the road. Don't worry that you don't have them.
I know they aren't really functional. I just want my car to look even cooler than it already does (if that's possible). Love My Prime!!!!
You can buy the light assembly on eBay! I seen them out there I asked the dealer and the guy told me (he was a cool guy) that to buy them on eBay and install them yourself since it’s a plug-n-play assembly. Because if you have the dealer do it for you he said it’ll be $2,100. And on eBay you can buy it for $1,200~ and takes a few hours to do them. Plus you can sell your headlights on eBay and make some of that money back! I hope this helps
Hey PHV PLS, I'm actually thinking of attempting this conversion project, but don't know what to expect or if it really is possible to do. Has someone at the dealership you talked to about this attempted such a project? If so, do you know if one installs this, would just the 3 bottom white LED sidemarker lights function when the headlamps are on, but the fog lamp itself can't be switched on because the Prime Premium doesn't have the fog lamp turn signal stalk switch knob? I also don't know if the proper relays are installed on the Prime Premium to support this new light assembly, but any info you can share from that guy you talked to would be really helpful if he had completed this project himself before. Also, to replace the OEM turn signal stalk with the fog lamp switch looks like a huge hassle to do and I don't trust myself to do that kind of work as I'd be afraid to break something on a nearly new car. Thanks for your help!
Years ago I put Honda Accord fog lights in the grill of my Acura TL with a dremel & two part epoxy. What if you get these ebay covers as a template, cut, find some fog lights that will fit & wire it up. Carey Seznak's Portfolio: Inspire fog lights Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
You got that right. I keep turning them on whenever visibility is lower just in case it might help... but no. Mind you, I haven't tried in actual fog, so there's that.
HOW is this car even Drive-able? Those tires won't turn past the fender! bwhaha!... This car must have a hydraulic system in it, so it can get off the ground to drive! Why would anyone do this to a Prime? heh.
