Part near thermos - syphon? Dont know where it goes

    This part fell off from near the thermos while I was taking the valve out
    , I will check with day light to try to find out where it goes, do you recognize it and know where it goes? Thanks!

    Your car doesn't need that part anymore... Or at least initially.

    I'm not sure, doesn't look familiar at all. Is there enough damage on it for it to be road debris and not a part of your car?

    Weird, not really enough damage, one segment of it is clean and looks like it was in contact with coolant or similar fluid...
