Possible Monthly install meets. Bay Area-Fremont

Hey fellow prius nerds. Did we every find a location to do this meetup? Is there anything I can do to help make this a successful event? Heck honestly, I'm more than happy to throw some cash toward the person hosting us for the day. I had all my tools stolen so I have no way to do this myself. I really need my tranny fluid, coolant, breaks, and plugs done. I know this wont all get done in one meet but if I could even just get my fluids changed that would be amazing. Just le me know if there is anything I can do to help pull this event off

 

If you can host, that’d put us closer to having a meetup.

We can then throw out a date and see who is available.

 

If anybody near San Bruno is needing an oil change, Melody Toyota is running a special for synthetic oil change $32.95 until the end of the year. They have it on their Facebook page.

That way you can work on more important installs during the install meets

 

And then you can bring their list of “recommendations” to the meet for a 2nd opinion.

I think currently we're trying to find who can host the event. Some people cannot really host due to their own issues. For me, that's because it's not my house that I'm currently residing. I don't want to bother the owner further. In addition to that is we don't have much space.

We are, you just have to host it. Well bring the tools and food.

I already put on the side splitters so that’s not on my to do list anymore.

 

Hey all. How many people are we talking about? I’m in Fremont close to central and Blacow.

 

The last 3 years we've approximately had between 5 and 11, which included the host. Not everyone will stick around, some just roll through to say hello, or are first timers wanting to check things out.

We will attempt a rough headcount before a host commits, which also helps gauge the overall interest.

Do you (or anyone else) have some dates that would work best for hosting?

Generally @Raytheeagle takes care of the logistics once we have a known date and interest, but others are welcome to step up.

 

I was thinking I could host one. I own my house, and juggling my fleet out of the way for a party is nothing new. Anyway... oddly this Year almost everyone in my family of 9 has a birthday on a Saturday so I need to be picky. So Saturday 1/25 is open. February 8 and 15 are good too. I’ve got a gas grille as well!

Personally leaning towards the 1/25 or the 2/15, but always go with the flow to maximize group turn out

If we pick 1/25 let’s get on it ASAP as it’s coming up fast. I’m ok with 2/15 too. As far as restrictions I’d say the missus would prefer no drunken debauchery, other than that let’s char some red meat!

We've always operated on the book but be respectful principle.

I'd say add it and as the date gets closer, update as appropriate.
