Actuator Assembly, Brake (Part Question)

Looks like 44500-47141 is the current part number:
Anti-Lock Brakes for 2007 Toyota Prius | AutoNation Toyota Gulf Freeway

I am not aware that it is possible to replace a component within that larger assembly.

 

There's been at least one recent report of somebody somehow sourcing an accumulator that fits, and replacing that (only useful if that's where the problem is, of course). Don't know how easy to find the thread, but it was in the last few months, I think.

The poster described unscrewing the old accumulator without bleeding off pressure first, and firing it across the room. Wouldn't be my first choice.

Like carelessly opening some champagne, except instead of a piece of cork you've got a couple compact pounds of steel, and the bubbly probably doesn't produce 2,000 psi.
