My 2006 got the HV battery changed out at 200,500 miles. Replaced with a rebuilt battery about 5 1/2 months ago. So far I have put a little over 8000 miles on the my Gen2 since the rebuilt battery was installed. I check battery voltages with my Torque Pro app. All cells are within 2/10V of each other.

PS Getting about 47 to 48mpg average in the NE winter (lots of 30 and 40 degree days).

I have 2005 Prius with 365,000 miles still on original battery. The catalytic converter code P0420 is now appearing quite frequently and the car really cannot sit more than 2-3 days without use. After this kind of gap the battery drops to purple in very little time and is in early stages of failure. But I am managing by having the car used very regularly, even having a friend drive when I am on vacation.

Prolong might possibly help. But I have not as yet done that since car would not pass inspection anyway.

250K miles on a 2007 with original battery...

For many, many years it had all the signs of being a "dying" battery and I'm so glad I didn't believe all the ignorant annoying wasteful people on PriusChat who think the only solution is a brand new pack...

Truth is I spent less than a hundred dollars on new bus bars and nuts and then did three rounds of deep cycling/reconditioning, which restored battery capacity from 50% back up to 96% and all symptoms of "dying" battery have been gone for a year and car runs like a champ.

Enclosed is a copy of spreadsheet for that pack. I make spreadsheets for all the packs I work on in order to better be able to find failing modules before they fail.

My green 2006 Prius blew a cell at 159k last year. A single module was replaced and battery rebalanced. My red Prius still on original battery at 142k.

247k on a 2005. But it appears to be dying. I'm trying to figure out the next step.

All packs are different in how they fail.
Glad yours worked out with minimal intervention.

2005 and battery seems good enough at 179K mi. but has lost a little capacity when crossing mountain ridges. I plan to give it some attention in a few years. I wonder if batteries will be hard to get in a few years?

My 2009 Prius has 163,000 miles and the original hybrid battery. Surprisingly enough, even the 12v battery is still good after 7 years. I asked mechanics to test it, and they said it was still fine.
