After the new battery, the car has been fine. My husband commutes with it.

    I should've done this a while ago.
Have an '07 that spent less than half its life in the UK and the other in Ireland - so favourable conditions for the battery. There were learning curves. A nasty 12v battery that was kept alive longer than it should. A clogged HV fan that threw a code, and when fixed was left unplugged for months (with a rare limp mode now and then) until I got fed up and found all the car's problems left dangling in the boot.

Now, it's gone over 157,400 miles, it recently did a long drip (600 miles in 48 hours) at sustained high speeds full of passengers and it runs magnificently. Rear shocks are begging to be replaced. OBDII moniter shows a delta voltage of <0.1V to <0.2V depending on temperature.

    Just for information:

2004 Prius, I'm the ORIGINAL owner. At 193,426 miles just had a quick check at a dealer.
    * ORIGINAL hybrid (traction, main, high-voltage) battery is still going fine.
    * Replaced the 12 Volt auxiliary battery for the second time.

I had a concern about the hybrid battery because of getting a warning while being dragged through a carwash. Because of it's age I thought it was prudent to have it tested. No problem with it, so I'm continuing to drive ... headed for 200 k miles.

Just to show that the doom-and-gloom folks aren't always right.

Bought '07 prius in '14. Ran perfectly for the entire time. Changed tires from the [discontinued] Summer radials to all-season. MPG went down a hair. Replaced Inverter Coolant Pump 4 years ago. Went through a tough time, lived in prius for a year 2019-2020ish. HV battery giving me troubles now, removed, process of refurbishing. I stand by this car as being one of the most effective tools for one to have. Everything is pretty well engineered. 130k miles today, bought @60k. Looking forward to another 60k.
