2011 - Dead JBL e7022. Should I replace just the digitizer or the lcd?

    So I really miss my touchscreen. My mom cleaned it a while ago and then the digitizer was dead basically. I've tried cleaning it and clean the crevices but nothing seems to help it. Think the digitizer is just toast. The screen itself is fine.

    So the specific MFD I have is a JBL e7022. I can get just the digitizer here. However I haven't seen clear directions on how to do that.

    However I'm wondering would I be better off just replacing the whole screen (screen + digitizer) since they are already assembled and about the same price? Also would this screen fit?

    How'd she clean it? I'm thinking sprayed it, and the spray seeped into the electronics at the bottom??

    Was there supposed to be a link? You'll need a few more posts (4 or 5?) to be able to post links. You could just type out a good search string too, in the interim.

    Not really sure. I think she wiped it with a wet wipe of some kind. It was a while ago.

    I'm looking at just the digitizer since the screeen seems to work just fine. Go to eBay and search "2010-11 Toyota Prius JBL E7022 Navigation Touchscreen Digitizer Stopped Working?" and you should see what I'm looking at.

    I've seen some tutorials on digitizer replacement but not for my exact model. So not sure if I can do it.
