Charging Speed, Battery Capacity and Prime itis

Going by the government MPGe lists, the 2019 Tesla Model 3 Standard Range does 133 MPGe, which is the same as the 2019 Prius Prime, operating in electric mode.

So far from using twice as much energy, it actually uses about the same amount of energy. How they did this with a much, much bigger and heavier battery is anyone's guess (quite a few car makers, including Jaguar, Audi, and BMW would love to know the answer to this).

And, of course, once that gasoline motor starts up, the Tesla is the hands down winner.

Measured:

Ok not double, for me it's a big difference.
