My wife just replaced her 2011 Prius with a 2020 Prius Prime GLX plug in. We're both totally blown away how great this car is. One problem is that the Bible sized users' manual is hard to find things in. Not everything is in the index at the back. How can we adjust the volume of the voice prompts in the navigation system? We have the larger screen. On a bumpy road, the road noise drowns her out!
You can download your owners' manual from techinfo.toyota.com - for free, it's on the near side of the paywall - onto your phone. Then there's a Bible-sized space available in your glove box to store stuff. And you can text-search the manual on your phone.
Thanks. I appreciate the suggestions. Actually, I went out to the car before my wife took it to work, fooled around a bit and figured it out. I will definitely put that searchable manual in my phone!
Update-- I downloaded the car manual and the navigation system manual and they're terrific. Just as a test I searched for increasing navigation voice volume, and found the information in under a minute! Toyota, and other manufacturers for that matter, should notify buyers about this valuable information right up front.
