um, no. but if you have, and you're looking for help or advice, you're going to have to give us more to go on.
Hasn't come back...think he/she did that silly thing of not stopping promptly for gas when the car tells you to?? Speaking of which..I hit one bar tonight so it will be my first stop in the AM!

You might want to do a little research on this website; I'm sure the wealth of information you'll find here will go a long way towards enlightening you about your Prius' behaviour. As an aside, it seems to me that it would be helpful to describe your problem in somewhat greater detail. "Stopping and losing all power" is perhaps just a little bit vague.

I had the same issue on my 2004 Prius in the middle of the motorway while driving at about 120Kms/hr with a large truck just behind us and no hard shoulders. It could have killed me and family, fortunately there was an exit in few yards and I managed to take it and park it on the side. This hasn't happened again since that incident(touch wood) but is always a worry and looking to get rid of it and buy some other make/model
My 08' died on me on the Cross BX once, a few months back. I coasted slowly to within inches of the shoulder (doesn't really exist). I turned the power off and waited a few seconds. It powered back up and knock on wood has never done such a thing again. In my case, no ICE start for power and no traction power. Battery was not low... I did replace the 12v recently and my MPG has increased 10mpg +, so the two might be connected.
