    Hey Everyone,

I am currently having an issue with my SiriusXM Satellite. I just keep getting an error that says "No Signal. Check Antenna". I have never had any issue with my satellite before. This issue started after discontinuing my service with SiriusXM for a few months. I tried to have SiriusXM reset my signal multiple times with no progress. I am guessing I need to replace the Antenna amplifier base that is on the top back of my car. My question are:
    • Is there anything else I can test before purchasing this piece (Toyota wants $100 just to run diagnosis)?
    • If i need to purchase an Antenna assembly base, which part do I need: 86960-47011 Amplifier without Bluetooth, or 86760-47021 Antenna with Bluetooth?
      • Is the latter which controls my Bluetooth phone connection to my radio dash?
I just want to make sure I exhaust all my options before purchasing one of these parts online - They seem to run upwards of $110-$170. Would most mechanics be able to diagnose the problem for me, or would only Toyota be able to do that? I read in another thread that there may be some wire under the seat that could be an issue for the satellite, is this true for the 2012 model, or should the top back antenna be the main focus area.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks.

Can anyone confirm if the ANTENNA ASSEMBLY, SATELL (86960-47011) is the correct piece? All online pictures show just a diagram and not actual pictures. The diagram looks more like an internal piece and not the whole antenna blob on the top rear of the car.

I had the same problem in my 2011 and replaced the part number mentioned above and that solved my problem.

I am having the same problem. Mine worked for a trial period. After a few months, I subscribed to it but got a "No signal" message. I thought that the antenna amp was under the seat, so, I ordered one fom ebay. Today, I found that thre are 2 metal boxes under the driver's seat instead of one. And, I see that the antenna amp is on the roof. My FM and AM work fine. If the roof antenna amp is bad, will the FM also fail to work?

No the am fm will work as they are separate feeds from the preamp.

Toyota later updated the amp which is why you want the new part. And it’s why buying a junkyard part is risky especially since it’s a job to replace. There are three versions for most cars, one am fm, a second adds satellite and the third adds safety connect. Verify your part using your vin.

I had problem with XM it kept losing signal or would not connect on my 2010 OLAR ROOF Prius with NAV and backup camera.
I found a 20111 Prius Solar with same (looking like identical) option package and took roof antenna off of it. Cost $20 dollar.

It is not hard to remove of antennae. Just carefully drop only middle 2/3 of the back portion of the headliner. Hold area open with some foam blocks ( not damage the headliner and give access) You can remove the special nut on the inside of the roof with a 22mm socket . Its tight area so you may need to do use a small 22mm socket with a handle of bent 1/2 inch metal . (rather than a standard ratchet). Then unhook antennie wire and roof antennie comes out. I installed junk part ($20) and radio XM works now. When I saw another year same Solar prius with NAV in junkyard a year later I pulled that too and have spare.
