    Hello,

I have reset my drivers side window auto-up feature a few times, but never after the window was rolled all the way down.
Today I re-connected the 12v battery and mistakenly rolled the window down and now I cannot get it to go back up. I tried a few suggestions here but its still not going up. I noticed the auto light is blinking if that helps. Also, I tried disconnecting the battery and re-connecting it after 1 minute but I still cannot get it to work.

    Suggestions?

I have the impression that the auto window feature that needs to be initialized after 12v battery is disconnected, it is not related to the normal up and down function that works all the time. Is something wrong with the switch?

Could be, I suppose. All the window switches are the original (2008). However, the owners manual describes how to reset the auto-up feature after a 12v battery disconnect by lowering your window half way, but does not address the feature if the window is lowered all the way. I am not sure if the two are related either. Surely somebody else has lowered the window all the way first?

I'm thinking the same thing as @Aegean : you should still be able to manually lower or raise the window. If it's not responding at all when you pull up on the switch to raise the window, something's amiss with the switch, or user error?

Just tried it again and its stuck down, so I went on youtube.com and found a mechanic working on a toyota power window doing similar to mine. So, while holding the switch up he took his fist, yes, his fist and banged once on the lower door pocket area and it went from stuck to up. Guess what? I just tried that and it worked first time. Now, the window is working up and down fine as it did before, but after trying an auto-reset it did not reset. I'm happy though as I am the only driver and use the car around town with the a/c on most of the time.
I may have problems in the future but I hope this helps someone else with a similar problem.
    Thanks,
    Stoner
