both fob's came in at 3.03v, so i'll probably pick up some new ones, but i doubt that is the issue.
can't test the 12v today because i've been charging since this morning, running around and recharging. it will have to wait until tomorrow morning.
it was raining yesterday, but if it was the 'water dripping over the door locks' problem, that's a new one on me.
the only other thing i can think of is, just before leaving, our daughter came out to the garage to unlock the hycam, but had my key. so she unlocked an already unlocked prius.
i forgot that another thing that happened during all the beeping and lights flashing was the doors locking themselves (or unlocking) so maybe it was a computer glitch.
anyway, 40 miles so far today, and no issues.

strangely, after sitting another 8 hours, it is up to 12.75 (n) it may be that i didn't have a clean ground.

I've seen that occasionally, usually when I've exited with the hybrid system "ready," then returned and started driving. Its little brain is easily confused if you do anything out of the usual routine.

I got the "Key detected in vehicle" message, doors [un]locking and yellow triangle three times on my drive home this afternoon. I checked and sure enough, the rear hatch was slightly ajar, but not enough to set off that dash indicator.

I have a 2010 that had the same Warning issue; it WAS the hatch being insecure. Thanks for all your comments. Loving me some PriusChat!

My wife had a blanket spread across the back, thin enough to allow the hatch to latch, but thick enough to cause this warning.

Yes, I had the same problem. While driving “keys detected inside the car” and door open sign shows up in the dashboard.

Solution is very simple, my trunk inside light was not off or on, it was in the middle position. I turned it on and now problem is gone. No more door open sign in the

please share it, as this is very common thing that happens when we put the groceries. Accidentally move light switch to a crazy middle position(neither on or off)

got the message again yesterday. i had put something in the hatch, so that was probably the issue.

but i still don't understand why toyota programmed that message for the hatch, instead of 'hatch not closed securely' or something that would give a clue to the problem.

i have to wonder what 'key detected in car' meant to the engineers?

You win the helpful internet post award today! I had this exact message and it was also my hatchback door! I was certain I needed a new fob or something worse!
