Hi. I'm the (proud) new owner of my first Prius, a 2018 Prius Four with the Advanced Technology and Convenience Packages. I've already been enjoying the help I've found in the forum for some of my initial questions, but I have a couple about the navigation system that I haven't yet been able to answer. One is about recentering the screen. If I move the map to see an area to the side of my route, I can't figure out a quick way to recenter it on my route and position. The best that I've been able to figure out so far is to go to Edit Route, then Show Route Overview. When I go back to the main screen from there the map is properly centered again. But is there an easier, more elegant, way to accomplish this - something I'm missing? (There's a compass-rose kind of icon on the screen, but if I press that it shows an address rather than recentering.)
Press the "HOME" button on right side of the display (For future reference, this is because he was the 11.6" HD display)
I wondered the same thing. On my Gen2, I could keep my hands on the steering wheel and press the Map button to re-center the map. I wonder why they didn't keep this functionality from the steering wheel. It's not easy to find and press the Home button without taking eyes off the road -- particularly since it's flat and there's no physical sensation that it has been pressed.
They’ve removed a number of buttons from the Gen 2. I miss the climate control buttons especially recirc.
I've been fighting this for the last 3 years. I was driving north on I-5 and had to pull off the road to power cycle the car to get the map to recenter. Now I know.
I STILL don't know, because there is no HOME button on the right side of my screen. What are you talking about?
