My understanding is that it’s quite common to reuse EV battery cells in stationary applications after 10-15 years in cars. Pretty commonly used in rapid chargers, UPS systems, “power smoothing,” etc.
Bingo. All these used HEV/BEV batteries can and will be removed, remanufactured and repurposed into stationary battery backup for the grid. The first company that figures out the right combination will make a killing.
