    true, each Prius generation handles better. So the newer ones, are much better than the ones you unload. It's best appreciated if you had for example a first or second generation that you started with. That said, here's a fun video that some Germans took on to the famous Nurburgring track;

I took mine on a 12,000 mile cross country road trip in 2008 when I first bought it and talked to good amount of fellow Prius owners along the way. It was nice to hear how other people were doing, especially when the technology was relatively newer. I'd even get a few random waves from other Prius drivers. Now that the Prius is everywhere, especially in the great state of Colorado, it just seems like any other car when I see them.
I do have a bit of an affinity for them overall, because despite having some current trouble with mine (began around 170k mi), it still far exceeded my expectations. Especially in comparison with the 2 cars I had before this one (96 Jetta GLX & 88 Merkur Xr4Ti) that spent almost as much time in the shop as on the road.

They (Prius owners) sure seemed a little like that with Gens 1 through 3. I think many Gen4 owners are more regular car people who bought them as commuter cars, and don't give a hoot about what came before.

On Fuelly, my car's nickname became 'Fiscal Policy' - that's its job, and the only reason I don't have a new 2019 395HP truck instead.

Here - I've only seen 5 or 6 other Gen 4s - and we certainly acknowledge each other.

"Cult" is not, but very similar to, the word I hear from other non Prius drivers as they pass me when I'm hypermiling.

Without getting too cultish (or FHoP). Please continue handing out the flowers after they have been thoroughly used by the bees, but please don't eat the non-organic oatmeal, as many conventional products contain excessive levels of glyphosate (aka Roundup).

Here are a few lab tests of oat products with dangerously high levels of glyphosates (Cheerios, granola, oats, bars) :

Oldest : Breakfast With a Dose of Roundup? | Children's Health Initiative | EWG

Older : Roundup for Breakfast, Part 2: In New Tests, Weed Killer Found in All Kids’ Cereals Sampled | EWG

Newest : In New Round of Tests, Monsanto’s Weedkiller Still Contaminates Foods Marketed to Children | Children's Health Initiative | EWG

Found it interesting that some of the claimed increase was for use as a preharvest drying agent, or desiccant :

"Each year, more than 250 million pounds of glyphosate are sprayed on crops in the U.S., mostly on “Roundup ready” corn and soybeans genetically engineered to withstand the herbicide. Increasingly, however, glyphosate is applied to non-GMO wheat, barley, oats and beans. The weedkiller kills the crop, drying it out so it can be harvested sooner."

And if that wasn't enough, how about some added Chlorpyrifos - Wikipedia

How To Avoid Brain-Damaging Chlorpyrifos in Milk and Produce | Children's Health Initiative | EWG

Has someone taken Soba1 to the bunker and made him drink the koolaid?

It would be more correct to ascribe each generation to a cult.

Gen 1 were leading edge tech experimenters (nerds)

Gen 2 were environmentalists (tree huggers)

Gen 3 were micro economists (cheapskates)

Gen 4 seem unaware the Prius is not just another car (Joe Public)

Primes seem to mix them all.
