Just as the title says I have a clunk coming from the car (2012 Prius v) when I quickly release the accelerator. More specifically it has to be at 3 or more bars on the HSD, it happens both with just the EV motor from stop to start or with the ICE running (though it is much harder to hear). It is not super loud (at least yet) but it is noticeable enough.
This is new. Anyone with an idea as to the cause? I have tried searching here and reddit prius with no results that sounded similar enough.

I don't think it's suspension, noise does not seem to be affected/activated by bumps.
If I let off throttle very slowly and gently it does not happen.

Be sure to check for loose items in the rear storage cubbies in the rear sides of the car, under the mat, and even where the spare tire is.
