Hi guys. It's about a week how I bought my prius C and I wanna add some changes to it's audio system. I have some audio gear and need your advice how to install it. 1. Alpine swe1243e rms 250 peak 800 2. Focal 27v2 rms 300 peak 600 3. Sony Xplod GTR2202 (AB class amplifier bridge rms 500) 4. Alpine 9855 (head unit) Will it kill my battery or it is better to change my amp? Is it necessary to install a new additional battery?
I would think you will be fine I have a 750 rms watt and, I never clip it. And no issues with factory battery. I'm pushing a Alpine type R in the hatch
Hey thanks for your support. my amp is AB class and uses much more energy than D class. I decided to change amp to D class, but question about battery is still opened. Shall I add another one or replace old with a new more powwerfull one?
Regular battery should be fine, though you might want to evaluate how fresh yours is and replace early/more often.
Thanks for advices. what about amplifier? cannot choose appropriate D class monoblock for my alpine swe1243e
Hack...did you mount your sub in the hatch panel (off center, I assume)? The amp too? I was considering putting both mine into the hatch void (yes, I did consider the extra load on the lift cylinders). I'm only installing a Sony 500W RMS pushing an 8" sub, so I don't need a "TON" of room (hence, my thought about using the hatch void), but I'd feel much better hearing that somebody has done it already and that it worked out for them. I figured putting both in there, if feasible, was a better choice instead of running much more big speaker wire and trying to snake all of that through the rubber channel to just mount the speaker alone in the hatch. I've already got additional wiring stuffed in there for my camera, my extra blinker/flasher lighting, and my anti-theft wireless relay to disable my back hatch. Thanks in advance for your thoughts.
Battery will work but the charging system is weak for anything aftermarket. Trickle charge the 12volt once a week. I went with a 5 channel class D Alpine to try and be more efficient and small size. But I have a Gen 2 not a C. Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
I got new amp rockford fosgate r500x1d. It has to use low energy(hope it will) and now thinking about- do I need additional acc battery?or stock battery is enough? and how to connect remote control for amp
