I have a 2010 in white and I am looking at getting some aftermarket tailights to replace the oem clear ones. If anyone has done this mod, could you please post a pic so I can see how they look like? I'd really appreciate it. Just trying to decide which style to get. And if you have links to where you bought them that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks :)

Do a Google image search on TRD tailights 2010 Prius. TRD stands for "Toyota Racing Design" and the main website you get the good stuff from is in Japan and there's no english translation. Also if you heat the tail light up in the oven you can separate the lens cover from the body of the tail light and use spray paint or other paint products to DYI for cheap.

I don't recall Toyota ever make TRD tail lights for the Prius, but I'd love to see them. You can bake open headlights easily, but not tail lights because they're plastic welded so that'd take more work to open them up.
And TRD actually stands for Toyota Racing Development.

I replaced mine with 2012 OEM lights after a mysterious parking lot mishap cracked one of the old ones. I got them on EBAY. They have some after market ones including some dark ones. Replacing them was easy.

Why is your license plate bent?

In regards to the OP, I put Prius Plug-in tail lights on my non-plug-in Prius. The tail lights aren't hard to remove/install, but you'll need patience if you're doing it for the first time.

Back in the day in Japan, their cars used to be so low to the ground that the plates would scrap on the ground. So they’d bend them up. Thought it would be a cool touch even though I never got to lower it lol.

Just saw this thread. These aren’t aftermarket, just OEM PiP tail lights that I wrapped. I was just going for a clean, stock looking tail light.
