Yes, there IS a thread like this from almost a year ago. But we have a whole new raft of sailors aboard, and I don't want anybody stealing ideas from those older-timers. C'mon, Love Handles: where'd you get "it"? OK, lovers of "good music", fine film and Quality TV, whassup wif yer eyes and ears in the privacy of yer living room (or Prius)? Hmmm, literary lion, is that a copy of "People" on the bedroom floor? We promise we won't tell.
My guilty pleasure? Watching "Walker Texas Ranger" reruns. I even sing along with the opening themesong.
Why Prius Chat of course!!! Actually, it's weekend breakfast at Bonnie's Cafe in El Cajon. Best Hash Browns ever!!
good hash browns are to kill for I have a few, but will unspool them gradually: Debby Boone's "You Light Up My Life" (I know, I know...)

Um, young lady, we have an unwritten understanding here that one will not publicly retch over another's "guilty pleasure". Stifle!
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Jack Kelly @ Sep 14 2006, 12:35 AM) </div> Hey meathead! That was a "GAH" not a "retch." Or even a "wretch." AND I promised not to tell. Thpppttt!

...somehow or another I didn't answer in the last thread - good call on a reboot. The Moody Blues - and the most excellent tribute, Moody Bluegrass - are (and it's sooo embarrassing when you catch yourself singing along to the elevator muzak) my most played songs in iTunes. For real, though, I'm somewhat obsessed with Taos, NM since I spent some time there last summer. Since my return trip got cancelled for this summer, I find myself listening to my 'field camp music,' thumbing through photos, and have even plugged Taos into my GPS a couple of times. No good reason, maybe just checking to see if I could get there and back before the husband gets home
Food: Nutella. Right out of the jar, with a spoon. Best way to get in your daily quota of partially hydrogenated vegetable oil. Oh, and Sushi. I was so depressed while I was pregnant because I couldn't eat it. Music: Movie Soundtracks. By that I mean Musical Score. Most folks don't pay attention to the "background" music in movies. But I love it. My husband says it's a waste of a perfectly good JBL sound system in the Prius.
Grew up listening to 70's hard rock, metal type stuff while hanging out with my sometimes irreputable pals some of which wore motorcycle jackets. Much older and wiser now- successful in the business world. But dammit, sometimes I just have to turn the stereo up in the car and rock out to Madonna or Pink.....
listening to music majors practice on the magnificent organ in Crouse Hall, Syracuse University, on their hard-won 2 am, 3 am and 4 am practice slots that mother could rattle windows a block away
I've yet to outgrow loud music. My tastes have changed over the years, thanks to the influence of two teenage daughters, but it's not loud enough if I can still hear the phone. In the car, I leave it cranked and power down without turning off the stereo. Then my wife gets in, starts the car, and BOOM.
Music: I like Barry Manilow. (there. I said it.) Food: I love Greasy Fried Chicken from KFC. Even though I shouldn't eat it. I just love them herbs and spices! TV: Rockstar, SuperChevyNova. I could not help my self, even though I think it's a one album/one tour group, that can't even use the name they choose...
I'm unhealthily fond of the cover band "Me First and the Gimme Gimmes." They totally, totally destroy some Manilow. It's great. I also enjoy the "Golden Throats: The Great Celebrity Sing-Off" album.
