After my local Toyota dealership wanted $200 to drain and replace my Generation II transmission fluid, I asked for just the price of a gallon. Is this stuff really that expensive or am I just being gouged?
Thanks for the suggestion. Another dealer gave me a price of $10.40/ Quart. Still have a couple more places to call.
Most dealers will take at least 10 percent off parts prices if you whine and pout. Or, look on their web site under parts and find a coupon....or order online and let UPS deliver it to your door-- look on Amazon, apparently I put forth some bogus part numbers earlier.... T
This is Type T-IV ATF, used in Prius cars only for model years 2003 and earlier. For 2004 and later Prius models, use Toyota ATF WS, for which the part number for one quart, in the U.S., is 00289-ATFWS, list price $10.49.
EEEKKK! Sorry, my advice is exactly what you pay for it. But, having said that, the real Toyota fluid is around $40 per gallon at any good dealer...I think... kris.
Wow. Is there no shame from Toyota? Toyota dealer: "there is no automatic transmission oil change" | PriusChat Basically Dextron 6
I’ll give ad blocker pro a shot. Never needed one until the admin graced us with his presence the lasts time . I guess it was blissful ignorance .
it is so much faster. i don't pay attention to ads, not sure how that affects danny's revenue. i'll gladly pay for premium, but we've been hearing that for decades
I payed $9.14 CDN per liter for Toyota ATF WS, last time. That would translate to $6.49 US per quart, or $25.95 per gallon.
