Posted in other threads on this website? I switched to used wheels/tires. Our standard Hyundai Elantra 195x65x15 inch tires got switched to our smaller Accent with standard 175x65x14 inch tires. Then the Elantra got 225x55x17 inch wheels/tires. MPG went up in both cases. The Accent has a low geared 5 speed, so its rpms at highway speeds went down 6%. Later, put 205x65x15 inch tires on & the rpms dropped a total of 9% (close, but the tires do not touch the mudflaps). I love the bigger tires for their superior handling & suspension feel & the extra MPG is a big bonus!

Bottom Line: if you want better handling, go with 17-in or even 16 as an option. You want to optimize your MPG, stay with 15 in. You're driving a Prius, not a Ferrari or a 911! Just do a little research folks.
