my prius 2009 wont go into Drive mode.help plz.

    hello.
    my prius 2009 3rd gen, after starting wont go into Drive mode.
    12 v battery is new. kindly help.

    Just to be very sure, you press the Power button while your foot is on the brake. After 5 seconds the Ready light appears and with your foot again on the brake you attempt to shift into Drive or Reverse, but nothing happens. That's a new problem. I hope you get a good answer.

    welcome!
    make sure the brake lights come on when you press the pedal.

    if they do, test the 12v voltage at the battery, and at the jump point.

    check the battery connections, especially negative to ground.

    check all the fuses

    read the trouble codes
