Even after reading the Owner's Manual, I can't figure out how to get the Trip Odometer to show on the same screen as the Driver Assist picture of the car (which is the one I like to keep on the screen). In fact, I can't really locate the Trip Odometer at all. On the fuel economy screen, there's one that resets every time you turn the engine off, which isn't really a trip odometer as most of us think of it. I must be missing something. Please tell me what, someone. Thanks
Does it not cycle through the odo, trip A, trip B, since start, DTE and blank? Is there that old fashioned skinny knob sticking out of the instrument cluster? The ones that used to change between odo and trip odo before they went to steering wheel buttons (labelled TRIP)? It should be on the right side behind the wiper stalk.
Tideland Prius and alanclarkeau, thanks! Alan, even though we drive on the other side of the road, the button is on the left of the instrument cluster, like yours. Tideland Prius, the US manual does not have the illustration that Alan's Australian model does. In the pictures on 102 and the other places odometers are discussed, there is something that might be a button shown, but its function is not indicated. Now it is true that in the actual car the button has the label ODO/TRIP, but it is (from my line of sight in the car) behind both the steering wheel and the turn signal stalk. And like an idiot, I did not look around to see what might be behind those things, so I didn't find it until you two gave me more explicit directions. Plus, in the version I have the meter only cycles through ODO/Trip A/Trip B. No Since Start or DTE. I believe Since Start shows up on the fuel economy screen only. What's DTE mean? You might want to let the folks who do the USA Toyota manuals know they should correct this stuff, since I'm sure I'm not the only idiot out here.
Ahhh - I thought they reversed everything - but then the pedals are accelerator on right, clutch on left - just the gearshift is for the RH, not LH. Distance to Empty (a semi-fictitious figure sometimes - though generally helpful). Have you downloaded the manual - this is 2019 Hybrid (there is also a 2020). https://www.toyota.com/t3Portal/document/om-s/OM06143U/pdf/OM06143U.pdf This is Page 107 from the USA Manual.
My actual printed copy of the Manual does not have the arrow highlighted in pink in your downloaded copy. Looks like someone else noticed too and corrected this on line.
