They are viewed as totally different models by Toyota. The 2019 Prime may or may not have visor extensions. Likely they do not. Toyota has coined the term Liftback to distinguish between the regular Prius and the Prime. Some parts are interchangeable across these models but not all.
On my end I am curious to know if a retrofit will actually work. Secondly, length of time to order and cost. Thinking that I may just be cheap and get the driver's side visor... Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
I ordered the aftermarket visor-extenders 2 days ago, for both of our Prime. The vendor sent an email to confirm proper fit. Correct for Prime was confirmed and they are now being shipped. I'll have them in a few days...
That's because carbon fiber is extremely light. Weight has a direct correlation to fuel savings, which is what the Prius' primary job is.

Too late! See posts #6 & #12. Sliding sunvisor on the 2019 | PriusChat I couldn't find it, but somewhere there's a post where someone said they installed the new visor and it was a perfect fit. They loved it in spite of the big gaps it still leaves. I'm astonished that '19 is the first year with visor extenders in the prius; I'd not have bought a car without them. Heck (yes heck), my '00 grand cherokee had them.
UK-spec 2019 models still don’t have them. Presumably Toyota thinks, not unreasonably, that we never get any sun.
