LED lights on my 2015 Prius

This is my second thread on this website! I bought a 2015 Prius II back in November, and I put LEDs in it a few days later... it's late, but here is the video showcasing my lights. I will answer any questions you all may have!

There is an installation guide in the video description. Once my posts get approved, I'll have enough posts to be able to post links, so the guide can be on this thread!

Most of these will work right out of the box!
High beams (9005)

Low beams (H11) - these will have a perfect fit in the socket, so it might take some work to get them installed. The beam pattern is evenly distributed and there is a clean cut-off.

Fog lights (if equipped) (H16)

License plate lights, parking lights, map lights, and courtesy lights (2825) - This comes in a pack of 10, so you will have two extra ones.

Front and rear turn signals (7440A) - you will need to get two, since these come in pairs. You will need a new turn signal relay or some resistors (I used resistors). I have the instructions at the bottom of this description.

Resistors

Reverse lights (7440W)

Dome light (DE3175) - these come in a pack of four, so you will have three extra ones. You may need to bend the connector with your finger so the light can fit into the socket.


TURN SIGNAL INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS: LED turn signals are the most complicated lights to install when performing an LED conversion on any car. You will need resistors for your turn signals. Without them, your turn signals will hyper flash (blink too quickly), and the fuse might blow. The reason for this is because the load is too low (LEDs use less power than halogen bulbs) and the car will think the bulb is about to go out and do that as an indicator. First, replace the halogen bulbs with the LED equivalent. You will need to strip the two wires and connect aresistor to both wires (a resistor has an end for each wire). I would recommend soldering the wires together so they can stay connected. Also, taking some panels off in the hatch might be necessary if you want more room. The resistor can just hang from the wires if you want. I haven't had an issue with doing that. You will need to take the front bumper off to install the front turn signals... unfortunately. You'll have more room, though.

 

Thanks! I checked and the high beams are available as of this post. For the tail lights, the Prius has had LED brake lights since 2004, and I believe they are designed to be non-serviceable.

 

This is a super late reply, but it takes some work to get the headlight to go into the socket because it is a perfect fit.

 

I couldn't find a relay with the same functionality (timing) as OEM, so I decided that soldering would be better.

It works well for me. It feels like I can see everything on the road and I feel safe. I've been in a car where the LED headlights did not work at all (it looked like they were off; same brand lights, but different projector on the assembly of the vehicle) and I felt unsafe.

It looks like the ones you linked were designed differently, but I'm not sure. I took a screenshot of some old dash cam footage so you can see it below. I will post another picture when it stops raining to show you the lights from the driver's perspective.

Also, you have a 2010 Prius, right? That's what I saw in your post history. Are your headlight assemblies clear? That would cause an issue with a clear beam pattern. Your lights could be pointing downward, too. Let me know!
