How do I use the mechanical key?

    That's the manual for my Prius, but mine doesn't have a key slot on the door. My key fob does have a mechanical key in it though.

    Did you buy it new?
    It's a complicated work of alternate universe fiction to try to write a story where your door ends up with a handle that doesn't have the key slot.
    I have to ask...are you sure?
    Otherwise, it's a story of an accident, and shoddy replacement.

    I don't have it on my cars. Someone asked about it on other thread, and I found out they do exist for some models.

    Key Hole cover....I didn't think of that.
    But that makes a whole lot more sense than the Alien Life Form, abduction conspiracy theory I was working on.

    We still need a confirmation from OP to see if keyhole cover was really the culprit.

    Or do we have to wait for the new episode of The X-Files? lol

    ummm, i'm starting to think Mr. King Andrews went out to look for the key hole and caught the aliens messing with the car and now subsequently other keyholes have become part of their experiments.

    Evidently I do have a keyhole, right where the diagram shows. As it turns out, I didn't even look. :oops:
