<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(drummoros @ Sep 8 2006, 02:31 PM) </div> You're right. Coming from U.K., I've always thought of Red as being more "left wing" (can't use the word "liberal" either because the British Liberal party is closer to middle-of-the road than either the Labor party on the left or the Conservatives on the right) and blue as "right wing." Also, communism is always associated with red. So, I find the U.S. tradition of blue for Democrats and red for Republicans somewhat nonintuitive. Having said that, my Prius is silver and I vote blue (U.S. terminology). However, Seaside Pearl is one of my least favorite Prius colors so, no, I don't think the color of the car is any indicator of one's politics. In fact, I've seen several red car/blue voters in this thread and not so many blue car/red voters.

True blue politics, (Better dead than red!) White car, reflecting pure light to all. (Better than cursing the darkness.)
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(David Beale @ Sep 9 2006, 08:45 AM) </div> Me, I hate the labels, and I drive a white Prius, so there!
Red car want a green earth, and don't mind keeping more of my green in my pocket $$. Live in a red state on the right coast not the left one. Now lets see who else I can p....off.. . P.S. the stars and bars are over 125 years old I think its time to forgive on both sides
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Stan57 @ Sep 8 2006, 07:53 PM) </div> That must mean you commute to the San Francisco Bay Area for work . . . because Sacramento is a “purple†county - far from being “very blue.†We just get invaded by a bunch of liberal politicians from throughout the state. They tend to congregate under the capital dome and don't vote locally. http://www.princeton.edu/~rvdb/JAVA/election2004/
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(pricoaster @ Sep 8 2006, 01:42 PM) </div> Ditto!
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Sufferin' Prius Envy @ Sep 11 2006, 09:05 PM) </div> No, Davis  . I'm outnumbered 50-to-1. Just about even odds.
Red when it was tax and spend on the poor. Blue now that it's borrow, make war, and give to the rich. White Prius.
Driftwood Pearl car (pretty much gold, right?) in the reddest county of the reddest state, practicing blue politics. My vote NEVER counts. I hate being so disenfranchised. I need to stay here for job and family though.
driftwood pearl prius, red state, I think it's a blue town - only lived here a year, blue politics I'll answer for my husband as he gets to drive the prius on weekends *sometimes* he has purple politics (socially liberal, fiscally conservative is how he likes to put it)
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(OleMissPrius @ Sep 13 2006, 12:14 PM) </div> "Fiscally conservative" is a bit of an oxymoron with this administration.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(PriusRos @ Sep 13 2006, 05:54 PM) </div> Whaddya mean? As long as it doesn't actually involve spending on things like healthcare and education for the citizens of this country...this administration is VERY happy to spend trillions.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Rufaro @ Sep 13 2006, 09:59 PM) </div> Precisely. So where's the "conservative" part of it?
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Stan57 @ Sep 11 2006, 09:56 PM) </div> OOPS! How could I have forgot about THE PEOPLES' REPUBLIC OF DAVIS! (oh, wait . . . I know how. ) Davis . . . Where it is illegal to snore while sleeping in your own bed. Davis . . . Where the mayor wanted potholes declared “historic.†Davis . . . Where they are so ecologically correct that they spent approximately $20,000 on a tunnel for frogs – yet the frogs won't use it. Lighting the tunnel for the little creatures didn't work either . . . so, the frogs are still being squished on their new, ecologically correct road. http://www.funnytheworld.com/2002/Nov/07.htm. 50-to-1? You are giving Davisites too much credit. They keep electing these tards as community leaders!
