I need to do the whole EGR circuit cleaning routine - including the intake manifold. I decided to buy a used intake manifold [ebay/$120] ... amazingly it also came with the throttle body assembly, EGR pipe and purge valve/solenoid (aka canister purge valve/solenoid). I also ordered a brand new Toyota EGR cooler [ebay$172] so I shouldn't have to clean much the day of (i.e. just swap in the clean parts). Is it worth it to clean the purge valve - or should I just buy a new one? If yes, would this be the recommended way to clean it? There are also a few rubber hoses attached ... is this the recommended way to clean them? "Clean with a brush and soapy water. Then use a silicon based protectant."
Yeah it's likely fine. Also, maybe just continue to use the one that came with the car? Ditto for the throttle body?
