I see your 650 miles out of a tank and raise you 623 miles from my 2008 Prius Tspirit a.k.a. “The Spaceship” iPhone 6s +
That's amazing! Almost 1,000km. I haven't broke that yet. Closest I got was with my Gen 3 Prius at 951.1km
That's impressive. I have found that my Gen 2 2005 Prius @ 205Kmiles gives best mileage @ 50MPH, but to only about 65MPG. If that's of any significance I'm in UK. I first noticed it when I was on highway mainatiance traffic lane where we have to drive like 5 miles in 50MPH. And when I was back at 70MPH the mileage dropped to below 50 MPG. I was also driving without any passenger and empty cargo. Since then wherever possible I always take the Dual carraigeways, usual cruising speed of 50MPH when planning for longer trips. I am guessing for a gen2 with its 1.5L engine , the sweet highway speed is at 55MPH. Above that I know it will suffer. And for for the Gen3 and above with 1.8L , i suspect the sweet spot highway is at 65mph. I am really curious about the new Corolla Hybrid which is lighter than Prius but with the same 1.8L , the sweet spot could be at the UK standard 70MPH highway speed. And could it be the king of mileage. Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
