    I'm sure it's U.S sellers that I'm seeing.

    I'm sure there won't be free shipping to overseas. If I can't get you a link I'll get you the item number.

    They won’t even ship here. That was my point. Chinese usually offer free shipping. I tried to ask if anybody would have known a way to buy it directly from China instead of going through US.

    Just to be clear, door hinges and door checks are two different things. Hinges: lube; checks: no lube.

    Installed the new door check. They fit perfectly. And work great. Used a little WD-40, because I assume that's what they need. The old ones were never oiled, and becouse of dust and friction the plastic bit worn out.

    Not sure, but I don't think you're suppose to oil those. They need some friction?

    WD40 is a poor lubricant. Basicly kerosene and very stinky.

    The hinges and stops should be greased liberally and the hatch hinges and hood hinges and especially the hood latch. And also the driver side key hole.No one ever uses the mechanical key till the 12 volt battery dies and surprise it’s rusted shut. Spray the hinges on your doors at home.

    Use CSP spray lube sold at Home Depot. Heavy spray grease no smell stays where you spray it and dose not smell.

    I greased up my 07 the day I brought it home from the dealer.

    Everything is made in China. For now, after only 3 weeks, I can confirm they work well.
    I was curious so I opened up one of the original checks: it's just springs pressing on plastic bushings that "squeeze" in the middle the shaft of the check. So if there's dust and no lubricant, the shaft simply grinds the bushings down to nothing. It's two plastic parts rubbing on to each other.
    I think they have to be oiled. Maybe your door won't stay opened in a storm, but it will stay opened for longer.

    I am having the same problem (namely, driver door is closing on my leg when I try to get out of the car). I just found a US vendor of Chinese parts on ebay. They are getting $13.20 for the driver door check including S&H. I am ordering now and I will report back.

    See: For Toyota Corolla Matrix Prius 04 05 06 07 08 09 Door Check Front Driver | eBay
    Vendor's name is autopartsavenue out of Chino CA.

    Update: Received door check part in the mail yesterday from autopartsavenue (an ebay vendor) which is also referenced and linked above. Took me about 30 minutes to remove and replace the door check. While I had the door panel out of the car I power washed the door panel to get gunk from the deep pocket on the door (this part took an extra 15 to 20 minutes to accomplish.

    Conclusion: door no longer closes on my leg. The $14 spent (including S&H and sales tax) was money well spent.

    PS Hardest part of the R&R door check was finding the screw adjacent to the door latch (secret disclosed: screw is behind a small snap-in plastic insert that goes behind the latch and on top of the door panel).

    PPS Used the Harbor Freight trim and molding tool set with five ("5") tools in the set. Set costs $4 after 20% standard HF discount. This tool set was especially helpful with getting the door clips loose at the bottom of the door. See: Trim And Molding Tool Set 5 Pc

    2006 Prius 180,000 miles and it was time to replace the door checks which have always been a problem. Some people say to oil but a look at the door check and it appears it work from friction from 2 rubber square bumpers that squeeze the rod that slides when the door is opened or closed. the arms of the old door check don't look like they have been rubbed to the point of losing the thickness on the center of the push rod. My old 2006 Original Prius check are 7.5 mm and the new door check is 8.7 mm. Its a obvious stiffer open and close and they stay where they catch when opened. As a person with bad left arm, it was a obvious stiffer push and stop at the check points. Works great. It appears the original push arms are to thin and this OEM replacement is thicker. I will not oil or put anything on them to make them slide faster. I will keep checking the thickness for wear.

    Parts are from 1a Auto parts,

    Toyota Corolla Prius Front Driver Side Door Check - 1ADMX00351

    Toyota Corolla Prius Front Passenger Side Door Check - 1ADMX00352

    2005 Toyota Prius Front Driver Side Door Check
    Part 1ADMX00351
    $ 37.95 as of Nov 2019

    2005 Toyota Prius Front Passenger Side Door Check
    Part 1ADMX00352
    $ 37.95 as of Nov 2019

    Its working but they don't have the rear checks in stock which is no big deal.

    Tried to look this up at HD website, did not get any hits except for garage door hinge spray. Is that what you use?

    Just ordered a door check for passenger side front from Amazon described as "Door Check Strap Stopper Jam Hinge Driver Front LH Left Or RH Right for Toyota Matrix Corolla or Pontiac Vibe 68620-02061". Amazon link:

    Amzon part is listed as replacement for Toyota Corolla. We shall see if it will work for a Gen2 Prius passenger door. I will report back with the results.

    Because i don't have rights to post direct link, check the
    parts(dot)toyota com and search after "Door-Check-Left--Right--Front/62947169/6861047021"
    Also i wait for response from aliexpress seller, that one that appear in the"JerryCS" post, from Sept. 14 2019
