Hello, I was wondering what kind of indication shows when the Coolant is boiling or when it is not enough for the car to properly function?
A thermometer symbol displays on the MDF, but when this happens you are seconds away from frying your ICE. You literally need to stop now and turn the car off when this symbol displays. A more proactive way would be to monitor the engine temps using Torque Pro or similar. Prevention is also better than cure, so checking the radiator from time to time to make sure it is full. Make sure the overflow canister is at the full mark too.
If coolant boiling you will sure know it pretty fast you will see steam and most likely damage the cylinder head.
And you have to remove the black plastic cover above the radiator to properly assess your coolant level in the radiator. Simply looking at the content in the translucent expansion is not adequate.
